Unwashed/raw denim develops a unique character (fades) over time – especially if you wear the jeans for several months before the first wash . Always wash inside out, gently, and with similar colors; denim can bleed when wet. Unwashed jeans may shrink slightly (up to about 3%) during the first wash.
