OPEN WIND SHIRTS H.BRN/CHK

A reinterpretation of the classic 60's open collar shirt with a slightly boxy silhouette and soft, voluminous texture – the signature “OPEN WIND SHIRTS” is back.

For the new season, details such as Pocket Flap Delete , modified cuffs and Kenboro have been slightly altered – to perfect the balance between classic workwear and modern wearability.

The fabric is a masterpiece of Japanese weaving: a heavyweight selvedge flannel , brushed on both sides – lightly brushed on the outside, deeply brushed on the inside – and woven on traditional power looms in Niigata . Due to the elaborate manufacturing process, only about 25 meters are produced per day – a true collector's item of rarity.

Thanks to its loose weave, the fabric is voluminous, warm, and breathable. An insulating layer of air forms between the skin and the fabric, retaining body heat – a comfort that modern high-speed looms cannot replicate.

The pattern design and color scheme are based on archive fabric samples from the 1960s, carefully reconstructed and reinterpreted. Every step – from spinning the yarn to dyeing and weaving – was carried out exclusively for WESTRIDE .

H.BRN CHK (HEAVY BROWN CHECK)
A large plaid pattern with an approximately 23 cm repeat, constructed from 4 limited-edition colors. Made from twin warp yarns (10 count) and single weft yarns (8 count). The right-hand twill weave emphasizes the structure – a distinctive feature of this original Niigata production.
