Description:
Inspired by a true classic: The PT.TEE.25-05 from WESTRIDE brings the motif of a vintage racing poster from the 1950s back to the streets – in the form of a T-shirt that combines art, culture, and critical wit. The focus is on the depiction of a so-called handicap race – a humorously exaggerated scene in which a woman starts with a lead and is "chased" by men. What initially appears to be a cartoon conveys a deeper message about inclusion, fairness, and the playful spirit of the racing culture of that time.
The print is by renowned LITTLE CHOP DESIGN "KNUCKLE," one of Japan's most influential lowbrow artists. With his distinctive style—known for his work with AC/DC and Suicidal Tendencies—he delivers a motif that balances subversion and nostalgia.
This shirt also sets standards technically:
WESTRIDE relies on a complex manufacturing process: first, it's circularly knitted on a traditional machine, then opened at the sides, double-stitched, and neatly trimmed inside. The result is a shirt that looks like it was made from a single piece – but fits better and is more durable. The print is individually adjusted depending on the color, motif, and base fabric and applied by hand with water-based ink.
Special feature:
A shirt with character, a message and subculture flair – ideal for layering with open shirts or worn solo as a statement piece.
