The fabric for these shirts was developed from scratch in Japan. To achieve the authentic look of vintage workshirts, a special yarn was produced specifically for this purpose. The horizontal (weft) threads are deliberately chosen to be slightly thicker, giving the surface a distinctive texture. The fabric is woven on a slow shuttle loom to protect the fibers and create a soft, irregularly textured fabric with a vintage flair.
